Dr.parinay fuke’s journey from corporater to Minister

Mumbai: MLC Parinay Fuke (a resident of Nagpur) has been appointed a minister of state by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. He is the third minister from the district after the CM and energy minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. He has been allocated the public works, tribal development and forest portfolios.ParinayFuke started his political journey in 2007 when he was elected as an independent corporator. Between 2007 and 2012, he was in the opposition benches. However, he continued his close relationship with Fadnavis, who was then just a BJP MLA.
After winning the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) election second time in 2012 he moved closer to BJP by joining the saffron party led Nagpur Vikas Aghadi. In 2016 he formally joined BJP and contested the legislative council elections from Bhandara-Gondia local body seat. He soundly defeated Rajendra Jain, a close aide of NCP stalwart Praful Patel. He managed to get a BJP ticket for NMC elections in 2017 and ensured his victory.Even though Fuke joined BJP in 2016 he was closely associated with Fadnavis since years. He help the CM during Vidhan Sabha elections in 2009 and 2014. Even while in the opposition in NMC, he rarely took an antigovernment stand and was considered to be a neutral.
Fuke’s career in BJP received a boost when the then MP Nana Patole from Bhandara-Gondia quit the party in 2017 and joined Congress.
In fact Fuke had been offered the ticket but he refused.Parinay Fuke a close associate of CM Devendra Fadnavis has bright chances of becoming a minister in the new government should BJP-Shiv Sena retain power.
