The Maharashtra government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has rolled out a series of major initiatives designed to directly engage with Generation Z (those born between 1997 and 2012). With young voters making up roughly 25% of the state’s population, the state administration is placing key focus on education, skill development, digital transformation, and campus safety.

The BJP has launched a special campaign in Nagpur to connect with Gen Z, Gen Alpha and young voters. Around 30,000 youngsters are expected to interact directly with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on the 23rd.

Key Details of the Interaction

  • Massive Outreach: The event was organized as a direct dialogue with roughly 30,000 Gen Z participants in Nagpur.
  • Core Focus Areas:The dialogue addressed key youth concerns, including higher education, employment opportunities, startup ecosystems, and digital governance initiatives.
  • Policy Integration:This interaction forms part of a broader push by the state government instructing departments to prioritize youth issues and accommodate Gen Z interests when designing new welfare schemes and policies.
  • Cultural Connection & Digital Engagement:Parallel to on-ground youth dialogues, the Chief Minister has also been deploying AI-driven campaign content and social media outreach aimed at engaging Gen Z on state heritage, cultural pride, and local development projects.

This outreach strategy reflects an effort by state leadership to directly engage younger demographics, addressing their socioeconomic priorities while bridging communication gaps through direct dialogue.
