Speaking on the Jantar Mantar protest, Rijiju said that CJP founder Abhijit Dipke is an AAP worker. “How did he become a student leader?” Rijiju alleged that Dipke joined the movement posing as a student and that AAP tried to hijack the protest through him.
Regarding the police action against students, he said—Police took action only when the protesters began forcefully advancing toward Parliament. Despite this, not a single person was harmed. No one suffered a broken bone. No protester has been admitted to the hospital with a serious injury.

Rijiju said, “Rahul Gandhi should work according to the dignity of the post of Leader of the Opposition and speak in the House accordingly. I have no personal issue with him. We meet and talk.”
He added, “Rahul Gandhi has adopted a particular style, and his MPs have also started behaving the same way.”
Accusing the Congress of creating a disruption in Parliament, Rijiju said, “Congress MPs should debate. If an MP just wants to create a ruckus and chant slogans, what is the need to become an MP?”
‘Congress is afraid to face Parliament’
On the Opposition’s demand regarding Amit Shah’s statement, Rijiju said, “Congress got scared of facing Parliament. That is why they made an excuse to run away from the debate. The government was ready to answer every question.”

He claimed that people associated with AAP, Bhim Army, and the Samajwadi Party also joined the protest of thousands and incited people. According to Rijiju, the police stopped the protesters only when they started moving toward Parliament.

He stated, “The concerns of the students are genuine and can be discussed. But it is not right for political parties to hide behind students and run their politics.”

He clarified that the Prime Minister’s statement was not aimed at any specific opposition party. According to Rijiju, ‘mental Naxalite’ refers to those who talk about dividing the country, bringing back Article 370, or separating the North-East.
