Important news for travelers on the Samruddhi Expressway! Phased traffic blocks between August 31 and September 7

Gantry installation work for CCTV cameras under the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS) will be carried out on the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. Consequently, the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will implement phased traffic blocks on the Sinnar to Igatpuri stretch between August 31 and September 7, 2026.

Important Traffic Advisory Issued for Samruddhi Mahamarg Travelers

Important information has been released by the administration for travelers using the Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg. Phased traffic blocks will be enforced between the Sinnar Interchange and Igatpuri Interchange from August 31 to September 7 for installing CCTV gantries under the Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS).

As per the permission granted by the Highway Police, traffic heading towards Mumbai will remain closed from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and traffic heading towards Nagpur will remain closed from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM between Sinnar Interchange and Bharvir Interchange on August 31, September 1, and September 2.

Similarly, on September 4, 5, and 7, traffic towards Mumbai will be suspended from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and traffic towards Nagpur will be suspended from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM between Bharvir Interchange and Igatpuri Interchange.

Phase 1: Sinnar to Bharvir Work will take place between Sinnar Interchange and Bharvir Interchange over three days—August 31, September 1, and September 2. On these days, Mumbai-bound traffic will be halted from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, while Nagpur-bound traffic will be stopped from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Phase 2: Bharvir to Igatpuri Gantry installation work will be executed in the ghat section between Bharvir Interchange and Igatpuri Interchange on September 4, 5, and 7. The timings remain the same: Mumbai-bound traffic will be stopped from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and Nagpur-bound traffic will be halted from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. There will be no traffic block on September 6.
