India’s premier Bank SBI is holding a prestigious HR conclave, at Lavasa, in which the Chairman and other members of the Board, as well as the entire top management of the Bank is participating. SBI has also invited some eminent names in the field of HR for a panel discussion and also eminent guests for their thoughts.
Lavasa has India’s 3rd largest convention centre, which is underutilised as Lavasa offers only around 450 hotel rooms from brands like Accor, ITC, etc. and a list of resorts and private accommodations. A large number of hotel rooms are awaiting completion. Once around 1500 rooms are ready, Lavasa will be able to take away convention business from Hyderabad and Jaipur where convention capacities are matched with availability of hotel rooms. Lavasa has the unique advantage of proximity to Mumbai and Pune, India’s largest business corridor.
The city currently is in a financial mess owing to disruption of work, caused by political interference, which triggered debt crisis.
However, it has the potential to attract global marquee names from industries including, entertainment, services, technology, biotech, etc.
Last year alone, Lavasa had a footfall of 1.5 million tourists with a growing interest from international tourists. Being the first envisioned concept of a vibrant smart city, Lavasa has the potential to become the pride of Maharashtra.
