Kapil Sharma destroying mangroves: MNS 


Mantralaya Times  Sep 10, 2016,                 MUMBAI: MNS general secretary Shalini Thackeray on Friday accused comedian Kapil Sharma of adding illegal storeys to his Andheri bungalow and destroying mangroves.”CM Devendra Fadnavis should not support Sharma… We will soon furnish evidence of howhe has been breaking municipal rules to his benefit. Sharma is a liar,” she added. A local activist also came out with charges that Sharma had harmed mangroves.Kapil Sharma was issued a 24hour notice on July 16 to pull down the unauthorised horizontal extension to the existing ground-plus-one storey row house at SV Patel Nagar inAndheri and also for construction of a second, most likely illegal, floor.On August 4, after receiving no reply from him, the ward officers demolished the extension, said the K-West ward assistant municipal com missioner, Parag Masurkar. With BMC elections months away, politicians of all hues waded into the controversy.Congress and NCP used the chance to attack Shiv Sena and BJP, while the MNS film cell chief Ameya Khopkar threatened to stop Sharma from shooting. “The illegal structure was pulled down by the BMC on August 4. Sharma took over a month to hurl charges against the BMC and the MNS. Now Sharma should furnish evidence about the allegations…” added Khopkar.Congress spokesman Randeep Singh Surjewala termed the BMC as “Bhrastachar Municipal Corporation” and said: “Kapil Sharma is the host of a comedy show. The BJP-Sena show in BMC has been a tragedy.”
