Replying to all questions by BJP MLA Yogesh Sagar &Ashish Shelar in an question hour on Tuesday CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the government will instruct BMC to go for fire audit of all public places especially markets and malls. “No policy would be works, unless we would curb unauthorized structures in the city. We will check whether the BMC has adopted any policy in this regard. If not will instruct BMC to study and plan time bound programme to make Mumbai fire proof. The building should have smoke detector and internal fire-fighting system as well.He added that he will instruct BMC to revive fire hydrants and inspect all public buildings fire safety.
Replying to MLA Raj Purohit question whether the government to compensate traders who lose their property in Crawford market fire took place in October 2015.
